In this interview from the AWS Marketplace Series, Zahir Gadiwan, partner solution engineering leader of cloud service providers at Snowflake, joins theCUBE's John Furrier to discuss why AWS Marketplace is becoming a strategic route for enterprises to buy and scale governed AI on Snowflake. Gadiwan explains that the real challenge in enterprise AI isn't finding a better model — it's aligning trusted data, governance and scalable infrastructure into one operating model. He details how AWS supplies global scale and services like Bedrock while Snowflake unifies structured, semi-structured and unstructured data with security built in, noting that Snowflake was born natively on AWS and more than 70% of its 12,000-plus joint customers run there. Gadiwan points to Toyota Motor Europe, where Snowflake Cortex helped planners cut through more than 100 fragmented systems to reach 87% business accuracy with full transparency into the reasoning behind each answer.

Key themes include how AWS Marketplace removes procurement friction and accelerates discovery, letting customers launch a 30-day free trial with up to $400 in usage credits directly from the AWS console before advancing to private offers and enterprise license agreements. Gadiwan reveals this motion has driven more than $2.6 billion in AWS Marketplace transaction value for Snowflake in 2025, including multiple deals exceeding $100 million and thousands of co-sell opportunities. He also walks through a live demo showing how Iceberg tables on Amazon S3, governed through AWS Glue and Snowflake's Horizon Catalog, feed Cortex Analyst and Cortex Agents to power both Snowflake Copilot and Amazon Q — eliminating data movement while extending governed insights across the AWS ecosystem. Citing Warner Music Group's shift to a governed analytics layer that cut data copies and compute costs, Gadiwan provides a roadmap for how enterprises can pair marketplace-driven procurement with interoperable architecture to move from raw data to trusted, agentic insight at scale.
